God's reaction to our sin

..God was so angry at our sin that he forgave it on the cross!

Gods reaction to our sins was revealed openly on the cross. God was so angry with our sins that He FORGAVE it upon the cross. His death and HIS RESURRECTION made the forgiveness of our sins a reality. Oh how i love how our beloved brother John puts it by the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.

1 John 2:1-2 KJV says,

[1] My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

[2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. What a word!

In other words, our sin is no longer an issue with God. Our sins should no longer be an excuse for a barrier between us and God. God's propitiation is much more stronger than our sins. God's grace is more powerful than the sins we could ever commit.

That we sinned is not the end. There is still hope. This hope is that Christ has been made the propitiation for all our sins.

When John the Baptist saw Jesus Christ coming afar, cried out with a loud voice,

"Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."

What sin did he take away? It is the sin that has separated us from God. Hallelujah! Christ has fixed this problem of sin. This problem of sin has been dealt with upon the cross. We now have forgiveness. Therefore, If Christ has dealt with it on the cross, its no longer a problem, or else Christ death was in vain.

Colossians 1:14 says,

"In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:"

Ephesians 1:7 says,

"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

In other words, when it comes to this thing called forgiveness, God was so rich in it. He was not merely getting by. He was not poor in forgiveness. He was super-duper rich in the forgiveness of our sins and he showed it upon on the cross. And guess what? He did it once and for all. (Hebrews 10:1-12). He paid for our redemption once and for all. Your past, present and Future sins were paid for ONCE AND FOR ALL. He is not going to do it again and again anytime you sin. He paid for our redemption even before we sinned.

Romans 5:8 says,

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Oh you say brother, you don't know what have done, i have done terrible things, i have committed terrible sins. Can God really forgive me? Emphatically Yes! However, the fact now is not even whether HE IS GOING TO FORGIVE YOU.

The gospel truth is that he has already forgiven you of your sins even before you were born. He made advancement. Hallelujah. Oh maybe, you are even a Christian struggling with guilt and condemnation of the sins you have committed in the past. Or you have been thinking God is against your life and that he is going to punish you. Behold! I bring you good tidings. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy [Psalm 103:8]. This is the gospel of our God. Your sins has been forgiven. Your sins has been paid for. You do not need to be in the bondage of sin and the devil anymore.

Brother Paul explains succinctly this Gospel of our God.

2 Corinthians 5:19-21:

"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

[20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. [21] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Oh Glory hallelujah! Accept his forgiveness! Accept the Gospel. Christ is not condemning you. He forgave you. And resist the lies of the devil!

AND BEGIN TO WALK IN TOTAL VICTORY OVER SIN!

AMEN
