It is sad that most of the people of God are yet to understand how to pray according to Gods word. So many just pray out of zeal without knowing what God has spoken in his word concerning such prayers. Prayers like:"Oh father, pls go with us. Oh Jesus, as we travel today, pls go with us. Oh father, come down and be with us. Oh father, come and dwell with us..oh father, let your presence go with us... "
You see, such prayers are no more pleasing to God. Although they sounds nice and emotional but yet they are not inline with Gods word. Such prayers are UNNECESSARY!
They want to be like moses who said, " oh God, if your presence will not go with us from here, don't carry us from here". Moreover, the truth is that we are not moses. Moses was under a covenant which we in this age were not included. We are not subjected to the law of moses in our relationship to God although they are good. Jesus has introduced to us a better covenant. Hebrews 8:6 says, "But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. Hallelujah! Before Moses came, Jesus had not come.
Moses was not born again. Therefore we can't pray like he prayed
He could not have even prayed in the name of Jesus because they have not been given that name. But you see, right now, in this dispensation, Jesus has came, he has been crucified, he has been buried, he has arisen, HE IS NOW SEATED!
And he said, "Low, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS! Period!
The last statement Jesus made before he ascended up on high as recorded by the Gospel according to Mathew was, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Oh boy! Look at that! This statement is mind blowing.
It will change some of your religious mindset if you understand it.
Jesus never said, "I am GOING to be with you. He never said, "I SHALL be with you". He never said, I will be with you when you pray." No no no! Its not a future tense! Neither a past tense! It is Present continuous! Jesus assured us expressly! Wow! Mathew 28:19-20. Oh boy! BIG DIFFERENCE! BIG DIFFERENCE! That's the word he gave to us. Its the more sure word of prophecy. Hebrew 13:5b says, ".....for he hath said, I will NEVER leave thee, nor forsake thee." Wow! Oh! Hallelujah! He is ever with us! No need of praying, "oh God, pls come down and be with us." No need of praying, "oh father, go with me, oh father, come down and show us your presence." Oh hallelujah! Praying such prayers after Christ has died and arisen negates the finished work of Christ on the cross. Its sounds like we are yet to be born again. Its sounds like we never had the presence of God before to begin with.
However, I want to say right here that I am not critical about our brethren who pray such prayers. I also quite acknowledge the wonderful motive and attitudes of people who pray like this. Its just that they are yet to be rightly taught. I think the attitude behind such prayer is to show their devotion, how much they need God, how much they have surrendered their lives to God which is good but most times its out of fear.Nevertheless, it is simply not right!
People Of God, let's come up higher! When the ark moves, you should also move with it.
The arc of the covenant has been shifted away from that ministration a long time ago. Its presently archaic to pray such prayers. There is now a higher realm in God.
Where the word of God is expected to gain the total mastery and supremacy over every areas of our lives.
Let's rightly divide Gods word. Lets Join the current move! Let's be updated! It had begun 2000 years ago when Christ died. Every child of God should now have a consciousness of God living IN him, WITH him and FOR him any time. The people of God should come to know that God is not living in heaven but right inside them. We are the temples of God. We are his living tabernacle! We don't go in or out of it. Rather, we carry his presence, his atmosphere, his aura wherever we go. We carry God! Hallelujah! Oh hallelujah! This is it!.
Christianity is divinity at work in man. The father, the son and the Holy Ghost have shifted their tent inside of you. Jesus said, "... the kingdom of God is within you... " ( Luke 17:21). Hallelujah, this is what Christ has come to do in us.
