Walking with the Lord

God has sacked many preachers and workers a very long time ago and they themselves don't know. We live in a time when many people are so eager to work for God. Oh they really want to. You will be amazed at how many preachers, and so called workers don't even know the scriptures for themselves. They can't rightly divide the word of God. They've got no enthusiasm to search and study scriptures. They are so shallow. This is why we have many errors in the body of Christ today.
Apostle Paul described such people in Romans 10:1-3.
He said, "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved.
For I bear them a record that they have a zeal of God but not according to knowledge. 3) For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. "
You see, this is exactly what I meant by working for God and not walking with him.
It's called, "zeal without knowledge". Many people just have the zeal for God but lack the knowledge of God. Don't get occupied in working or serving the lord without walking with him. Oh I love the story of Martha and Mary. Luke 10:38-39. While Mary sat at the feet of Jesus hearing the word, Martha was cumbered with much serving. Guess what Jesus' reply was, he said, " Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: [42] But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her." Wow! Oh boy I love this. We have many people who want to preach. We have many people who want to sing, do the protocol or serve in any area but are not willing to sit at the master's feet. Hey listen to me, those things are good but your first assignment is to sit at Jesus feet.
"Jesus has not called anyone to work for him" Study the Bible! It's until you walk with him that's when he tells you what to do for him. Sit, learn, study and know who Christ is, what he has already done for you and who you are in him.. Paul was not engrossed in just working for God. He got his priority straight. Philippians 3:10. He said, "That I may know him......" We need to set our priorities right, brothers and sisters. The only way we can walk with God is to know his word. As we study the word, we walk in the light even as He is in the light. Glory! Walking with God is spending enough time reading, meditating on God's word and praying. Knowing his mind per time, establishing yourself in his word.
